Pepsi Yo Sumo

What is Yo Sumo? It's a call. A call to embrace the opportunity that the 2010 Census presents to show the world not only how many we are but how we're changing the landscape of this country.

Microquito 1

It's a yearly massive contest of short stories featuring Quito, Ecuador as the main character, setting or central theme. Microquito is a cultural initiative that incentivizes citizens’ participation that was declared emblematic project of the city. It’s open to the public at large regardless of age, gender, status, etc. The winners are exhibited on large-format posters and distributed on free postcards all around the city. Citywide participation was massive.

Public participation.

More than 3800 stories from nearly all the urban and rural districts of Quito were received. There was also interesting participation from Ecuadorian colonies in Germany, France, Spain, the U.S., Argentina and Belgium, among others. Full color illustrations were made for the 10 winning entries.
